Some Good News I Needed
I had been somewhat worried during the last days, considering that I wasn't sure about what was going to happen with my job. It is true, I had more important things on my mind, but the incertitude kept bugging me. Nevertheless, the good news I was hoping for has finally arrived: I will be working during this semester as well as a Spanish TA and as a lab monitor. I've done this a few times during the summer as well, but that was only when they needed a replacement... I was still a student counselor. Now it's official, I've just signed my contracts and I couldn't be happier, especially regarding the TA position. I didn't even apply for it, knowing that only 4th-year students can occupy that position; one of my teachers recommended me for the job, so there's some pride going on as well :) . The salary is also higher, but this is not the main point, as I could be losing part of my bursary because of it; the most important thing is the experience I'll be gaining and the way this will look on my CV :D .
Something else... tonight we got to eat African food for the first ime and I can honestly say that we enjoyed very much, on top of the fact that the company was great.
We're hoping to leave for the weekend and go to Mille Isles, a gorgeous area close to Toronto. The only thing that could stop us would be the rain, considering that our car's tires are pretty old and we've already had an accident because of this, as the car skidded after an extremely gentle brake... Let's hope we get lucky and the weather shows us its smile.
Last day of school...let the vacation begin
