Saddam Hussein Executed
The ex-dictator was executed last night, after having been sentenced to death by hanging on November 5.
First of all, I don't believe we, as humans, have the right to kill another human being, no matter how good of a reason we may think we have. There are other ways to punish someone, especially a person of Saddam's age. He wouldn't have had too long, anyway. Secondly, I found the execution to be too hasty, sending me, once again, back in time, about 17 years ago, when something similar happened. Saddam must've known many things that could have shed some light over U.S.A.'s actions and not only; maybe he wasn't willing to talk right now, but we'll never know what time could have brought. I think this was the main point of this rushed execution: Saddam Hussein wasn't supposed to talk. And last, but not least, he was a military; couldn't they just have shot him? Oh, yes, I almost forgot: that's the law! The only unbreakable law in Iraq, as it seems.
