The Romanian Revolution - December 1989 - In Memoriam

I was almost 9. I do remember, but not enough, not even close to enough. I just know that every time I'd listen to an interview with some of the parents who lost their children during those days or see fragments that try to depict those events I'd cry. I'd feel... but I'd also ask myself what do the relatives of the fallen ones feel. I can't even say that I hope it was worth it, I can' even thank them... how could I ever thank someone for dying so that I could have a better life? My only prayer is for us to know how to put to better use what they left us.

Dumnezeu sa-i odihneasca!
God rest their soul!

P.S. Now is not the time to discuss the origins of the revolution. We've had 16 years and we'll have "a few" more to come. These days belong to THEM.
